“Sorry, you are a for profit company. We can not award you any project. ”
(Even if you are more competent and you offered a lower price; this does not
matter to us).
“Oh so you are also there; sorry we do not recognize you; we already have
our own partners”. (Because we do not like to create competition; we love
monopoly).
“Are you a fool? Why didn’t you register your organization as not-
for-profit? We could have donated you computers, staff, vehicles and
everything”. (Since you are not, you have to procure them all by yourself;
we highly despise you profit making organizations, because you spoil our
market and do it cheaper than us; you suck).
“Hey, you should be careful working with them; they are a commercial
company. They make profit. Don’t trust them” (And trust you?)
“Profit makers are criminal; they make profit and become rich” (make sure
that they do not become richer than us)
“For-profit companies are opportunists; they think of only themselves and
their interest” (As if we don’t)
“Request for proposal: We are looking for a competent organization to
promote entrepreneurship among rural community women in remote areas. Only
non-profit organizations registered with Social Welfare Council are eligible
to apply”. (Ironic isn’t it? An organization which has neither skill nor
belief in profit is being asked to train others how to make profit).
“Private Hospitals suck; they serve only the rich and able” (And we won’t
consider that they also help by taking a lot of people who can afford from
the long queues in public hospitals to private hospitals and also prevent
subsidy meant for poor to go to the rich. And also ignore the fact that
they’ve prevented money flight to some extent.)
“We hate private schools. They are also for the rich. We highly despise
commercialization of education. They must be penalized, nationalized or
closed” (No, we don’t think they are doing a favor to the government by
sharing some burden off so they can divert their resources to needy one).
“Quality Assurance: Operation successful, patient died; we follow the
standard guidelines prepared in Fundland” (Nope, doesn’t matter if it
doesn’t work.).
“Procurement: it’s same as quality; any thing is acceptable, even to pay
more price for cheaper things if purchased in compliance with procurement
regulation” .(After all, its all about saving our back, isn’t it?)
It’s meant for the poor, not the rich; we are pro-poor; we have poverty
expertise (you seem to love poor and poverty; not a surprise that this
country is still poor)
Our vision is to provide ’sustainable’ services through our non-profit
approach. (Common, do you really believe so?)

Love this article. It’s one of your best (among many other equally good contenders). I like how it’s a just a collection of quotes and leaves the thinking and designing an opinion to the readers.
